Yes, you can use google ads for test marketing, although it always struck me as a little oily, especially if you&#039;re one of those people who would do it with a product that&#039;s only vaporware. 

What I&#039;ve done in the past is to use the ad tools to look at activity in a market space. The amount of traffic estimated and the cost per hit tell you a lot about a market, without paying a dime or misleading people who click on the ads.

My favorite ad spoof on google was done by a security analyst. The ad was something like, &quot;Click here to infect your computer with the latest trojan virus!&quot; Yep, he got traffic from that ad! This says something I think, but what I don&#039;t really know...</description>
