Google bingo

Dennis Kennedy was doing a Q&A format for a while earlier this year on his blog. I’ve often thought it would be fun to pull my blog stats, look at the keywords people used to get to my blog and answer the questions asked therein. Kind of weird…but bear with me.

  1. wrench invent by jack johnson. A common search term I see around this time of the year. Why? February was Black History Month. Jack Johnson was the first African-American heavyweight boxing champion of the world. The whole story is amazing (watch the video mentioned in my post on Jack Johnson). Why was he mentioned on The Invent Blog? Because he has 3 patents (only 2 of which I could find patent numbers to).
  2. alton brown ravioli. I am a big Alton Brown fan…and mentioned him a number of times. Hope they found the ravioli recipe they were looking for (if I remember the episode right, he bolted a pasta machine on an ironing board in that episode).
  3. types of lawyers. Good bad and ugly?
  4. [invention promotion company] + [scam/fraud/honest/complaint/lawsuit]. Usually looking for this post.
  5. celebrity inventors - This post mentions Marlon Brando, Michael Jackson, Gary Burghoff (AKA M*A*S*H’s Radar O’Reilley), Eddie Van Halen, Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller fame), Heddy Lamar, Julie Newmar, Zeppo Marx, Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), Harry Connick, Jr., Walt Disney, Lawrence Welk, Danny Kaye and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Until the next episode of Google bingo…
