New Kid on the Blawgk — Just a Patent Examiner

July 1, 2005 on 8:38 am | In Weblogs |

I don’t mention New Kids on the Blawgk much anymore….  I did (via Kevin Heller) find a new one which is interesting enough to merit mentioning:  Just a Patent Examiner, a blog by…a patent examiner posting on “the patent examination process and what it involves, how its done, and other various details.”  His complaints about the patent attorneys he (she?) has to deal with would be perfect rethink(ip) material…for instance:

…He argues, says that I have not provided evidence that the term has no commonly accepted meaning.  I’m pissed.  Please, attorneys, help me out here.  I just want the specification and claims to be understandable and consistent.  Is this really too much to ask?  Is this not a laudable goal?  Shouldn’t the examiners and the attorneys be trying to do this???
