UPDATE: post on Invention Promotion Companies

October 5, 2004 on 11:16 pm | In Independent Inventors |

I met another victim (former client) of an invention promotion company the other day.  After his initial disclosure submission to them, he received a “if you’ll pay us for our marketing and promotion services (and give us a percent of your project), we’ll pay for all of the patent costs.”  Somehow that just doesn’t sit right with me…”tossing in” the most complicated and costly part of the project as a “freebie.”  Red flags should have been going up everywhere!!!

It spurred me to update my previous post on Invention Promotion Companies with a link to a new (to me) resource.  I have also added a link to the post in my sidebar under “most requested posts.”

[The post mentions the following invention promotion companies:  Advent Product Development; American Idea Management; American Inventors Corp.; Concept Network; Davison & Associates Inc.; International Product Design; International Product Design Inc; Invent-Tech; Invention Consultants, U.S.A; Invention Technology Co.; IP&R; National Invention Services, Inc.; New Product Advisory Group; New Product Consultants; New Product Consulting Corporation; New Products of America; and Patent Trademark Institute of America.]
