I stumbled onto the PTOs new PAIR viewer for the contents of patent wrappers. Is there similar online access for Trademark applications and the correspondence of the PTO about specific application?
Sadly, we don’t yet have electronic file wrapper access. You can see the file wrapper/prosecution history index (a list of what was filed when), but they haven’t yet provided electronic access like they have for patents via PAIR. However, I bet we have electronic access within the next year or two…
If you need really need to see what is in the file wrapper, you can travel to the Trademark Office and have a peek yourself, or you can order a copy from a document provider (we’ve used ADH Patent Services in the past).
