TGIF: Nigerian Annoyances

September 3, 2004 on 8:46 am | In TGIF |

I’ve only been using my new Gmail account for 3-4 months and that email address has (via this blog and others) been thus spread all around the world now.  What I have found interesting is the fact that the Nigerians started spamming me within a few days of my email address being on my blog.  Luckily Gmail filters them right into the SPAM folder.

One interesting site (as long as you aren’t offended by sophomoric humor and vulgar language) is http://www.ebolamonkeyman.com/.  The web site documents the stories of people who try to scam the Nigerian scammers, egging them on by email, getting them to “pick me up at the airport,” etc.
