As you can see…it has been a slow patent news week….

Via Engadget Serbian man invents walking stick to fight off packs of wild dogs. The walking stick is reported to have “two retractable blades (or can fire two blanks), a built-in thermometer, a special compartment for holding your “meds”, a panic button which triggers an alarm, and, of course, a compass.” Talk about a Ninja walking stick!! James Bond would be proud.

Alternatively, one could just carry one of these: (U.S. Patent No. 6,360,693).

Maybe the pack of wild dogs just wants to play fetch…
