Norian Corp. v. Stryker Corp.
Federal Circuit, April 6, 2004
Norian Corporation charged Stryker Corporation with infringement of Norian’s United States Patent No. 5,336,264 (the ‘264 patent) and United States Patent No. 6,002,065 (the ‘065 patent). Trial was held in part to a jury and in part to the bench. The United States District Court for the Northern District of California held that the claims in suit are invalid or not infringed. Federal Circuit affirmed the judgment as to the ‘264 patent, and reversed as to the ‘065 patent.
