USPTO Announces New Private PAIR Feature: Outgoing Correspondence Notification

“…The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO or Office) is pleased to announce a new feature in Private PAIR: Outgoing Correspondence Notification. The Outgoing Correspondence Notification feature allows customers to view a list of outgoing USPTO correspondence, such as examiner Office Actions, Notices of Allowance, etc., when they access this feature in Private PAIR. Each entry on this list includes the Application Number, the mailing date and a description of the document. Private PAIR allows independent inventors, registered patent attorneys, and patent agents the ability to access real-time status of their pending patent applications; in order to gain this access, customer need to obtain Customer Numbers and a PKI Digital Certificate (see below for additional information)….”

I currently use the free program “PARTRIDGE” for tracking outgoing correspondence. It will be interesting to compare and contrast…stay tuned.
