Eolas’ patent rejected in reexamination

March 6, 2004 on 9:51 pm | In Lawsuits |

According to News.com, the reexamination of the Eolas patent has resulted in the “invalidity” of the patent.

As you remember, Microsoft was sued on this same patent for a verdict of $521 million dollars. My prior posts on this case are HERE and HERE.

UPDATE: Hal Wegner pointed out to me that contrary to the press…the patent has been invalidated, it has just received a negative first office action during the reexamination.

UPDATE 2: Further coverage via LawPundit blog.
