Compromise reached in USPTO fee diversion
February 11, 2004 on 8:35 am | In USPTO |IPO reporting that “..members of the House Judiciary and Appropriations Committees reached a compromise agreement on the patent and trademark fee bill, H.R.1561. The bill will be amended to allow the appropriators to approve annual funding levels for the USPTO, but fee collections in excess of amounts appropriated will be deposited in a Patent and Trademark Fee Reserve Fund and rebated to USPTO users…” More info here.
